ASPHALT PAVEMENT DESIGN for PUBLIC WORKS PROJECTS
This workshop consists of instruction and explanation on the use of the “Asphalt Pavement Design Guide”. The Guide was originally developed by Dr. Gary Hicks, and has recently been updated and expanded in several areas.
The class is offered 10/22 from 8 - 11:00 and will cover mix design and mix type selection with SuperPave technology, structural design based on both AASHTO Design and mechanistic design concepts, and specifications.
The course includes examples and workshop problems to help demonstrate key principles.
The instructor will be Jim Huddleston, P.E., Executive Director of the Asphalt Pavement Association of Oregon.
The course will qualify for three Professional Developmental Units.
The new updated Design Guide will be provided for each participant in the class. If you are currently registered as an APAO Design Guide holder, you will be given the updated Guide for no charge. If you do not currently have a Guide you may purchase one for $50.00. This may be done after the class.
